Amy Hinkle has dedicated over two decades to the mortgage lending industry, starting her career in 1998. Her path into the mortgage business took an unexpected turn after a brief stint in the insurance industry. Following a friend’s recommendation, Amy applied for a funding position in the closing department of a local mortgage company, despite having no prior experience or personal homeownership. However, her strong background in mathematics and business, coupled with her ability to quickly grasp new concepts, made her an ideal fit for the funding role. As time went on, Amy’s expertise expanded as she transitioned into the roles of processor and underwriter.
During her tenure as an underwriter, Amy became known for her patient and meticulous approach to explaining the loan origination system and eligibility guidelines. Her exceptional ability to train and guide new hires prompted her to shift her focus to a training role within the mortgage industry. Amy’s path intersected with Success Mortgage Partners, Inc, a national mortgage company, during this period in 2016.
Impressed by the professionalism, attention to detail, and kindness displayed by Allison Johnston, Amy was motivated to work alongside her and become part of the SMP team. When an opportunity presented itself through a job posting, Amy wasted no time in applying, and since then, she has never looked back. Being a member of the SMP team has brought her immense satisfaction, thanks to the collaborative company culture that fosters a sense of family among colleagues. Amy values the supportive atmosphere, where she can reach out to her fellow team members for guidance without hesitation, knowing they will extend the same courtesy.
Amy cherishes the time she spends with her family outside of her professional life. Their bond is strengthened through shared laughter and support, as they cheer on their cousins at sporting events, enjoy movie nights together, and visit grandparents. Amy indulges in her love for dance during her spare time, attending local cardio dance fitness classes. She also finds solace in the pages of a good book, often listening to audiobooks during her drives. Amy channels her energy towards nurturing her flower garden, a peaceful retreat when the weather allows.
In addition to her hobbies, Amy is happily married to her husband, Sean, since 2008. Together, they have a delightful daughter named Delilah, who brings immense joy to their lives. As Amy continues her journey in mortgage lending with passion and dedication, her commitment to professional growth and personal fulfillment remains unwavering.
